The Hanson Film Institute invites you to the Producers Club Spring Salon! Be among the first to watch excerpts from ALMOST AN ISLAND, the sweeping film that documents the lives of an Inupiaq family in Kotzebue, Alaska, produced by Open Lens Productions and Hanson FilmTV Institute. The work will be presented by Director Jonathan VanBallenberghe, a documentary filmmaker raised in Juneau, Alaska, now based in Tucson. His films have screened at film festivals including SXSW, Tribeca, and the American Conservation Film Festival. In 2018 he received a grant from Vision Maker Media for the production of ALMOST AN ISLAND.
