Mission
The UA Hanson FilmTV Institute is active in the art and business of film and television. The Institute exists to serve and support students, faculty, filmmakers, film organizations and the Tucson community by producing events that feature noted filmmakers and industry professionals and by supporting educational programs, creative projects and public and community engagement.
Audiences enjoy a screening and post-film Q&A for the documentary WAAKI (Sanctuary) from filmmaker/photographer Victor Masayesva (Hopi) at the Center for Creative Photography
"Without question, the numerous public programs and free screenings which the Institute produces have enriched our local film community immeasurably."
—Peter Catalanotte,
Director, Film Tucson
