Stacy Howard, a UA School of Theatre, Film & Television student, has been awarded a 2017 Public Media internship by broadcaster Vision Maker Media. Stacy is one of three students nationwide to be selected for the competitive program, and the first University of Arizona student to do so. Stacy, a Hanson Film Institute intern, was identified as a candidate by Hanson’s director Vicky Westover. “Vision Maker Media is pre-eminent in its support of the careersof Native American filmmakers, and Stacy is a genuinely talented emerging filmmaker, so putting the two together was an obvious strategy, and I’m delighted that it worked out,” Westover said.
