Support Current and Future Programming

The Hanson Film Institute Program Fund supports the diverse current and future initiatives that are directed and sponsored by the Institute. Gifts can either be restricted to specific programs or unrestricted to be used for the greatest need. Gifts can be made through individual contributions, foundation grants, or corporate sponsorship. Gifts to the Program Fund are used to support existing programs and to develop the following new initiatives:

In Focus: Panels and Conferences

Sponsor and create panels and conferences with specific industry focus

Film and Television Weekend Workshops

Coordination and support for weekend of panels, networking, and screenings with industry professionals, students, and emerging filmmakers

Traveling Production Workshops

Coordination of off-site media production workshops, in particular in rural areas and on Indian reservations

Filmmakers in Residence Program

Coordination and support for University of Arizona residencies for recognized filmmakers to direct films with students and faculty participation

Filmmakers Awards and Production Grants

Fund productions by University of Arizona students
Award production grants to filmmakers for films shot in Arizona
Award grants to Arizona filmmakers for films made outside of Arizona with an emphasis on finishing funds
Award funds to local filmmakers with finished films to help get their films into the marketplace
